Can LED Lights causes interference of other electrical appliance?

Can LED Lights causes interference of other electrical appliance?

1. The answer is yes and no. There are two kinds of situations, it depends either the LED light of the company has passed the CE certification or not, because CE certification is the most rigorous certificate for LED lights in Australia.
What is CE certification?
CE certificate enables products to be commercially used in European Economic Area, EEA. To market any product within EEA, it should have CE Marking (previously CE mark).CE stands for nothing particular. Unofficially it means" European Conformity" (in French, Conformete' Europe'enne).

2. LED lights without passing CE certification caused interference of other electrical appliance.
For example, when you changed six halogen down-light to LED bulbs, when the lights were switched on, the DAB signal on the radio will be wiped out!
When you use normal 12V DC bulbs to the lab, then found that a digital radio located not so far from the switched-on bulbs, then the signal went fuzzy. The same thing like radio to the LED bulbs, it cut out all together.
Another situation is that TVs also may affected by LEDs. One of my friend who has fit a LED down-lights in the kitchen, the lights are suddenly much brighter, but the digital TV was not working at all, then someone turned off the ceiling lights in the kitchen, then TV works again.

3. You may wondering what LED bulbs will be affected with others?
Let's see some cheap bulbs. After tested three 12V normal LED bulbs and comparing them to branded 240V GU10 LEDs and some halogens. The result was only a very minor interference with the radio signal. So the conclusion we got is that issue seems to be limited to cheap knock-offs rather than branded goods.
Now you may realized if you want to use LED lights without any causes of disturbance or interference of other electrical appliance, then choose the LED lights which has passed the CE certification.
